“I HAVE BEEN USING 3FU3L EXCLUSIVELY EVER SINCE IT HAS BEEN INTRODUCED. I LIKE THE FLAVOR (IMPORTANT TO ME!) AND LOVE THE FACT THAT I CAN USE IT PRE/DURING/POST ACTIVITY. I HAVE USED IT AFTER CROSSFIT WORKOUTS AND IN TRAINING FOR ENDURANCE EVENTS. 3FU3L HAS BEEN MY ONLY SOURCE OF NUTRITION IN THE LAST IRONMAN TRIATHLONS I HAVE COMPETED IN, INCLUDING THE WORLD CHAMPIONSHIP IN KONA IN 2011, 2012, AND 2013. I CAN’T SEE WHY ANYONE WOULD NEED ANY OTHER FUEL SOURCE SINCE IT DOES SO MUCH!”

IRONMAN CHAMPIONSHIP ATHLETE, CROSSFIT GAMES ATHLETE

I competed at the 2013 and 1024 CrossFit Games, finishing 13th in 2013 and 5th in 2014. I know my weak areas and am working on them to improve for next year. In October, I was in the Ironman World Championship in Kona, Hawaii for the 9th time, and three weeks later will compete in the 16th edition of Ironman Florida. In addition to training, I am the president of our local Triathlon Club (about 125+ members), volunteer with the American Red Cross Volunteer Life Saving Corps, am active in ministries at my church, and enjoy time with my granddaughter and two new grandsons. I also tutor high school math students during the school year which keeps me brushed up on my Calculus and other math skills and in touch with the teenagers.

Achievements

– First marathon in 1988, qualified for Boston and have run in that marathon multiple times.
– Completed 41 iron distance races.
– Qualified for Kona in 2000 at Ironman Florida; have competed in Kona 9 times since 2001, with 7th place in the age group as the highest placement. In 2014, I placed 14th in a year with some rough conditions.
– Began CrossFit in late 2009 as a supplement to the triathlon training (at the encouragement of my daughter who had just started about 6 months before I did), only doing one workout a week.
– Competed in the CrossFit Open in 2011 and 2012; finished top 20 in my age group in 2013 to advance to the Games for my first trip. In 2014 I advanced to the Games in 10th place and finished the Games in 5th. Lots of fun competing with the great women in my age group.
